Following several releases on Black Box and formidable collaborations with Commodo, ‘Full Clip’ and ‘BR Greaze’ from Lurka mark a departure from the trappings of Dubstep that his previous productions were associated with largely on the grounds of their tempo.
The eccentricities and intricacies of his flawless production remain. The hand tooled bass, pitted steel kick drums and work hardened snares are more refined than ever.
It’s not often in the world of dance music that a truly unique piece of music comes along and slips into multiple genres so effortlessly, both tracks on Hotline002 are a belligerent amalgamation of exotic rhythms and sonic palettes, think Dillinja making Dancehall and you’re on the right track.
